Surprise Award

I have been trying to enter competitions for a bit of personal kudos. I think I want to know that others think my images are good too. The thing is that entering images for external competitions requires a different kind of image than is required for club competitions or for entering for qualification. Ultimate you are in the hands of judges and judging can be very subjective. I can enter the same image into different salons and they can score very differently. It can be very frustrating, and probably still doesn't give me a real opinion of which of my images are deemed good.

It is such a buzz though when one of your images is accepted, and the high I felt getting this award is immense. I think the silver meant it was one point off a top score i.e. 2 judges scored a full 5 and one scored 4.
